The Institute has a large user base on the African Continent. To optimize performance and accessibility for this particular audience, I used a static file cache, implemented eager loading technique and a CDN for asset loading.

The relaunch of the museum's website on a TYPO3 Backend - which was tightly coupled to Algolia - provides a fast and fault tolerant search experience to the audience. Another challenge was to make the museum's collection items with a vast number of characteristics searchable in a user-friendly way. An intelligent search mechanism based on Algolia's API enables fault tolerant full-text searching and complex filtering.

This website was built as a single page app which enables the association to present their members and projects in a structured and dynamic way. I used GraphQL to fetch data from multiple backend applications. On the backend side, I built a tool to manage the members' profiles and their various film projects. Every member has a backend account and can update profile information and add new projects. Through the Mailchimp API, user data is synchronized which enables the association to reach out to their members conveniently.
